Here's how you can register your mobile number by visiting any ATM:
1. Swipe your card and from the menu choose the 'Registration' option.
2. Enter your ATM PIN.
3. Select mobile number registration option.
4. Enter your mobile number you want to register. Select 'correct' option if you have entered correct number.
5. Re-enter your mobile number and select 'correct' option. Once you do this, this message will appear on the ATM screen: "Thank you for registering your mobile number with us". Within three days, you will receive a call from the contact centre for verify number.
6. A reference number will be sent to your mobile number via SMS.

आखिर कैसे कविता से UPI चोरो ने ठग लिए 38562 रुपये। जरूर जाने और शेयर करे - Fraud by UPI

वैसे तो ऑनलाइन ठगी के बारे में सब जानते है पर ये नहीं जानते होंगे की आप किन किन तरीको से ऑनलाइन ठगे जा सकते है. इसलिये मेने जन सुविधा को ध्यान में रखते हुए जो जो तरीके मुझे पते लगते है उन्हें सीधी और सरल भाषा में अपने मित्रो को इस ब्लॉग के द्वारा बताना अपना फ़र्ज़ समझता हु.

ये ऑनलाइन फ्रॉड मेरे नजदीकी के साथ हुआ और मेने उनसे विस्तार से इसके बारे में पूछा। तो ये कहानी निकल कर सामने आयी.

कविता (बदला हुआ नाम) ने अपने किसी मित्र को 900 रुपये UPI (Google Pay) के द्वारा ट्रांसफर किये थे  2 -3 दिन पहले, लेकिन किसी कारणवश वो ट्रांसक्शन पूरी नहीं हो पायी तो वो बड़ी निराश हो गयी और उसने  (Google Pay) के कस्टमर केयर को सँपर्क करने की कोशिश की.
इसके लिए उसने वही किया जो ज्यादातर लोग करते है मतलब गूगल पर सर्च किया (Google Pay) का  कस्टमर केयर, उसने बहुत साऱी ब्लॉग और वेबसाइट देखि, कही पर उसे किसी ब्लॉग की कमेंट में कुछ नंबर लिखे मिले जिनपर लिखा था 24 घंटे सपोर्ट कस्टमर केयर नंबर फॉर (Google Pay).

उसने बिना सोचे समझे वो नंबर अपने मोबाइल से डायल किया और कहा " में कविता बोल रही हु क्या आप Google Pay  कस्टमर केयर से बोल रहे है?, व्यक्ति बोला - जी हाँ बताये मैडम में आपकी कैसे मदद कर सकता हु?
तो कविता ने सारी बात बताई की मेने अपनी सहेली को 900 रुपये ट्रांसफर किये थे पर वो उसे मिले नहीं?
व्यक्ति बोला - ठीक है मैडम आपकी पूरी मदद की जाएगी, कृपया ट्रांसक्शन की तारिख और समय बताये।
कविता - 2  नवंबर, 2018 और समय दोपहर एक बजे के आस पास.
व्यक्ति बोला - मैडम आपके अकाउंट में बैलेंस कितना था?
कविता - सर 38562 था और अभी भी उतना ही है.
व्यक्ति बोला -  कोई बात नहीं मैडम में अभी चेक कर लेता हु, आप Google Pay ओपन कीजिये और अपनी upi ID कन्फर्म करे.
कविता - सर मेरी UPI id xyz....@upi है
व्यक्ति बोला - मैडम चेक करना, आपकी स्क्रीन पर  अभी भी कितना बैलेंस शो कर रहा है?
कविता - सर 38562 इतना ही है?
व्यक्ति बोला - ठीक है आप accept करके ओके कर दीजिये में कंप्लेंट डाल देता हु
कविता - ठीक है सर.
 इसके बाद उसके मोबाइल पर sms आया की "आपने सफलता पूर्वक 38562 रुपये का UPI ट्रांसफर कम्प्लीट कर लिया है." और उसका फ़ोन कट गया.

आप गौर करते है की कविता ने कहाँ कहाँ और क्या-क्या गलती की? आपको कुछ समझ में आया ? चलो देखते है.

पहली गलती :
कभी भी किसी भी वेबसाइट के कमेंट बॉक्स से नंबर न ले. क्युकी कमेंट किसी का भी और कोई भी कर देता है.

दूसरी गलती :
कविता को अपनी UPI ID नहीं बतानी थी. कस्टमर केयर केवल UPI ट्रांसक्शन ID पूछता है न की UPI ID.

तीसरी गलती :
किसी भी रिक्वेस्ट को "OK" या "Accept" करने से पहले पूरा पढ़े और समझे.  जो कविता ने बिना सोचे समझे एक्सेप्ट किया था.

आखिर चोर ने किया क्या था कविता के साथ ?
चोर को जब पता चल गया की कविता के बैंक अकाउंट में इतना बैलेंस है तो उसने उतने ही बैलेंस की पेमेंट की रिक्वेस्ट UPI के द्वारा डाल दी. और उसे, उसने कविता का बैंक अकाउंट बैलेंस स्टेटस बता कर उस पर एक्सेप्ट का बटन दव-वा लिया। जो की अमूमन ज्यादातर लोग बातों बातों में ध्यान नहीं देते। मतलब सावधानी हटी तो दुर्घटना घटी.

इसलिए अगर आपके पास भी कोई ऐसी ही  सच्ची घटना है बैंक फ्रॉड से सम्बंधित,  तो जरूर बताये, ताकि और लोगो को सतर्क कर सके इन फ्रॉड के तरीको से.

ध्यान दे की RBI भी कहता है की "कोई भी बैंक या कोई भी बैंक अधिकारी भी आपसे OTP, Credit Card या Debit Card PIN नहीं पूछता है, न ही किसी पेमेंट के लिंक पर क्लिक करे जब तक की वो लिंक आपने खुद बैंक की ऑफिसियल वेबसाइट से न जेनेरेट किया हो. 

मेरी तरफ से हाथ जोड़कर प्रार्थना - चाहे कितना भी बड़ा लोन, क्रेडिट कार्ड ऑफर, इन्शुरन्स कैशबैक या कोई भी ऑफर मिल रहा हो पर OTP,बैंक पासवर्ड, Credit Card या Debit Card PIN कभी न बताये।

  • Never share the Login details / PIN / OTP / Transaction IDs / Passcode / Confidential information to any one
  • Do not store any sensitive information such as Login ID, password, debit /credit card details, etc. in a folder on phone/computer or on paper etc
  • Never transfer funds without validation of recipient
  • Never forget to intimate us for change in address / mobile number to avoid miss-delivery of transaction communication
  • Never click on embedded links from unknown sources on social networking sites/emails
  • Employ caution on using Bluetooth in public places

Change your password regularly
For the first time login, it will ask you to change your current password. You should change your password that time and next time you should change your own banking passwork within every four weeks.

Check your account after making any transaction online. Verify whether the right amount has been deducted from your account. If you see any discrepancies in the amount, inform the bank immediately.

Always use licenced anti-virus software.
To protect your computer from new viruses, trojen and malwares, ensure that you are using licenced anti-virus software. Pirated versions of anti-virus softwares may be available for free, but they may fail to protect your computer from new viruses prevalent in the online world. In addition, you will get notifications for updates in the software periodically. Make sure that you keep your anti-virus updated, so that your confidential information is always protected.

Disconnect the internet connection when not in use:
Most broadband users do not disconnect the internet connection on their computer when they are not using it. Malicious hackers can access your computer via an internet connection and steal your confidential banking information. To keep your data protected, ensure that you disconnect from the internet when you do not require it.

Type your internet banking URL
It is a safer to type your bank URL in the address bar of the browser than clicking on links given in an email. There are instances of fraudsters sending emails with fraudulent websites links that are designed exactly like the bank’s original website. Once you enter your login details on such a website, they may be used to access your account and steal your money. While logging on, check for 'https://' in the URL and ensure that it is your bank’s authentic website.

All smartphone and PC users should make sure that their mobile / PC operating system is updated with the latest security patches and updates. They should also not remove the security controls from the phone or PC often called 'jail breaking' or 'rooting'. They should always look to restrict access that apps ask for when being installed to only what the app really needs.
